After a string of five wins, Bowie's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stony Point Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Stony Point's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jullia Howser, who had eight digs and three assists. Trinity Carter also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Stony Point, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.

Coming up, Bowie will square off against Johnson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stony Point, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Brock on the 23rd.
