Softball Recap: Chequamegon Drops Season-High Score on Newman

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chequamegon). They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Newman Fighting Cardinals on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Screaming Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory made it two in a row for Chequamegon and bumps their season record up to 10-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Newman, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

As of now, neither Chequamegon nor the Fighting Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
