Basketball Recap: Avenal Comes Up Short

Avenal won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Mendota Aztecs and fell 67-38. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Avenal's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Mendota, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Avenal will venture away from home to square off against Tranquillity at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mendota, they will head out on the road to take on Firebaugh at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
