Basketball Recap: Jayden Chamblee Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

There's no place like home for Stockton Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They strolled past the Delta Charter Dragons with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 61-42. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons, too.

Stockton Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Chamblee out in front who posted 26 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Chamblee has scored at least a third of Stockton Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenzy Escalante, who scored 15 points.

Delta Charter's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen West, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaac Hamlett, who went 5 for 6 en route to 13 points.

Stockton Christian now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Delta Charter, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Stockton Christian has already played their next match, a 64-62 defeat against Vanguard College Prep on the 9th. As for Delta Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-39 victory against Tioga on the 9th.
