Softball Recap: Dayton Broncos vs. Kingwood Park Panthers        
        
		
            
 Dayton won against Kingwood Park  last Friday with four  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Monday. The Dayton Broncos won by a  run and slipped past the Kingwood Park Panthers  4-3. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Dayton.
  Jess Woods tossed a big game,   tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Ava Horrell, who  went 1-for-3 with a  triple and a  run.  Isabella Barziza was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Dayton's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 24-11. As for Kingwood Park, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost four of their last five contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 20-10 record  this season.
 Dayton will take on Mt. Pleasant at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Dayton is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.3  runs per game  this season. As for Kingwood Park, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Whitehouse at 6:00  p.m. Whitehouse is coming into the  game with six straight  victories on the road,  so Kingwood Park will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
