Baseball Recap: Eustis Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Eustis won against Forest last Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Eustis Panthers blew past the Seminole Seminoles 9-1. The Panthers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Sean Griffin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Couper Gatch and Andrew Walker did most of the damage at the plate: Gatch scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, while Walker scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Walker also put up a stolen base, which washis first of the season. Ethan Jackson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Eustis' win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Eustis will take on Lake Minneola in a tournament on Friday. Eustis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Seminole, they will be taking part in a tournament against Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
