Softball Recap: North Canyon Has No Trouble Against North

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but North Canyon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 18-10 margin over the North Mustangs.

Madison Kirby was incredible, scoring three runs while going 4-for-6. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got four or more in each of the last three games she's played. Mia Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

North Canyon lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

North Canyon's win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Canyon will challenge Buckeye at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rattlers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for North, they will face off against Alhambra at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
