On Saturday, Franklin-Simpson faced Franklin County in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin County Flyers. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Franklin-Simpson still got an impressive performance from Reesha Cawthorn, who posted 15 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Lyniah Brown, who had five points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Franklin-Simpson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.
