Recap: Vista Ridge Rangers vs. Vandegrift Vipers
The Vista Ridge Rangers fell victim to the Vandegrift Vipers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 45-0 loss at the hands of the Vipers. Vista Ridge has struggled against Vandegrift recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Even if they lost, Vista Ridge's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Vandegrift's QB was sacked five times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Kaden Dees and his two sacks.
Vandegrift's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Deuce Adams, who threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns. Miles Coleman was another key contributor, picking up 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Vista Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Vandegrift, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Vista Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Round Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Round Rock is ranked 173rd, while Vista Ridge is ranked 167th). As for Vandegrift, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Round Rock Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Round Rock Westwood is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
