Softball Preview: Tremont Turks vs. Fisher Bunnies
The Tremont Turks will face off against the Fisher Bunnies at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tremont will be strutting in after a victory while Fisher will be coming in after a loss.
Tremont is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Eureka 16-6 on Monday. The Turks haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Tremont got a massive performance out of Audrey Parn, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Parn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ivy Stuber, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Tremont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Fisher suffered their biggest defeat since May 6, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against LeRoy, falling 13-2. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Bunnies' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.
Fisher saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Schulze, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Schulze launched this season.
Tremont's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Fisher, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1.
