Football Recap: Winamac Comes Up Short

The Winamac Warriors had to suffer through a 54-21 loss at the hands of the Frontier Falcons. The Warriors were down 47-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Ayden Justice went supernova For Frontier., rushing for 162 yards and three scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 190 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Justice a new career-high. Dustin Stagge was in the mix as well, providing Frontier with three touchdowns.

Winamac's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Frontier, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Winamac and Frontier will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Warriors are set to take on their familiar foe Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Frontier will square off against rival North White at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
