Basketball Game Preview: Glenrock Herders vs. Buffalo Bison

The Glenrock Herders just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Buffalo Bison at 6:00 p.m. Buffalo took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Glenrock, who comes in off a win.

Glenrock took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 49-38 win over Newcastle. The victory continues a trend for the Herders in their matchups with the Dogies: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Buffalo faced Cody in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Buffalo fell 54-41 to Cody. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glenrock will have to contain Zayne Huber as he made an impact in Buffalo's last game. He went 6-for-11 on his way to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Nicholas, who posted nine points.

Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Glenrock, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Glenrock ended up a good deal behind Buffalo in their previous meeting back in January, losing 71-57. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Buffalo's Cortlan Smith, who went 8-for-13 en route to 21 points and five boards.
