Basketball Game Preview: Providence Day Chargers vs. Concord Academy Eagles

The Providence Day Chargers will take on the Concord Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Providence Day is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They snuck past Victory Christian Center with a 50-46 victory. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Kings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Providence Day can attribute much of their success to Ginny Anne Dumont, who went 8-for-14 en route to 18 points and seven boards. Dumont is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jane Updyke, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Concord Academy against Carmel Christian on Friday as the squad secured a 71-24 victory. That looming 71-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.
