Basketball Recap: Johnson Comes Up Short

Johnson lost to Fairfield back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell 53-45 to the Falcons. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jonah Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fairfield, putting up 20 points. Jackson's big performance that evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Bennett, who posted nine points.

Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Fairfield, their win bumped their record up to 10-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Johnson will challenge Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.58 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fairfield, they will square off against Florin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.54 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
