Basketball Recap: Taholah Chitwhins vs. Ocosta Wildcats
If Taholah was riding high fresh off their 75-12 takedown of Lake Quinault last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Taholah Chitwhins took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ocosta Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Chitwhins in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.
Ocosta was led to victory by Sonny Beard and Kayden Turner. Beard dropped a double-double on 18 points and 24 boards, while Turner went 6 of 15 on his way to 16 points and seven boards. Beard is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Welch, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds.
Taholah's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Ocosta, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
