Softball Recap: Leto Takes a Loss

Leto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Alonso Ravens, falling 13-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 17-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Leto saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayla Fernandez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Leto's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Alonso, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Coming up, Leto will face off against Spoto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leto has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. After both having extra time off, Alonso and Gaither will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Gaither is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
