Volleyball Recap: Marymount Falls Short Against Ranked Sierra Canyon

Marymount faced Sierra Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Sailors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trailblazers. That makes it the first time this season the Sailors have let down their home crowd.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 12-25, 25-22.

Marymount lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Karys Campos, who had ten digs and two assists.

Marymount's loss dropped their record down to 33-5. As for Sierra Canyon, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 34-3.

Marymount has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Notre Dame Academy on the 9th. As for Sierra Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Harvard-Westlake on the 9th.
