Preview: Kings Christian Crusaders vs. Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves
Kings Christian has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kings Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wonderful College Prep Academy in California (Kings Christian is ranked 664th, while Wonderful College Prep Academy is ranked 1385th).
Last Saturday, Kings Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Strathmore, but they still walked away with a 47-41 victory.
Kings Christian relied on the efforts of Trey Brouwer, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks, and Ronnie Roche, who scored 23 points. Brouwer is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 18 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Deonte Reynolds, who scored five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Wonderful College Prep Academy ended up a good deal behind Woodlake on Friday and lost 44-29. Wonderful College Prep Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kings Christian's victory bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Everything came up roses for Kings Christian against Wonderful College Prep Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 95-11 win. With Kings Christian ahead 47-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
