Soccer Game Preview: Concord vs. Chesterton

The Concord Minutemen will take on the Chesterton Trojans at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Concord is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Concord's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Wawasee as they made off with a 12-0 victory. It was an even better day for Yurem Castro as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Chesterton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Lake Central who was credited with the win. The Indians got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Chesterton's two.

Concord has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five matches. As for Chesterton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.
