Preview: Kopperl Eagles vs. Morgan Eagles
The Kopperl Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Morgan Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Kopperl knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Morgan likes a good challenge.
Kopperl put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Mount Calm, posting a 80-39 victory on the road. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Meanwhile, Morgan fell victim to Bynum's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 56-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. Morgan just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Kopperl's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Morgan, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Kopperl took a serious blow against Morgan in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 57-12. Will Kopperl have more luck at home instead of on the road?
