Upper Cape Cod RVT has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cape Cod RVT recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Upper Cape Cod RVT will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Bristol County Agricultural, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rams put the hurt on the Chieftains with a sharp 14-2 victory on Tuesday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by nine runs or more this season.
Taysia Lopes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Lopes was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Jaelynn Harraden was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rosalie Neville, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Upper Cape Cod RVT always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Cape Cod RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 24-3 to Old Colony RVT.
Upper Cape Cod RVT has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Cape Cod RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
