Volleyball Recap: South Mecklenburg Sabres vs. Palisades Pumas
After flying high against Ballantyne Ridge last Tuesday, South Mecklenburg came back down to earth. South Mecklenburg took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palisades Pumas on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sabres of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-9, 23-25, 25-16.

Despite the loss, South Mecklenburg still got an impressive performance from Phoenix Modie, who had 20 digs, 12 kills, seven blocks, and six aces. Those 20 digs gave Modie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Balen Spry, who had 11 digs and two assists.
