Recap: Easley Green Wave vs. Pickens Blue Flame
The Easley Green Wave's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 67-42 margin over Pickens. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Easley has posted since December 11, 2023.
Easley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from RJ Stack, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and eight blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Drey Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists.
Pickens lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gavin Mock, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals. Brooks Dow was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Easley's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Pickens, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Easley will be playing in front of their home fans against Berea at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Berea is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Pickens, they will head out on the road to challenge Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 921 points over their last 14 matchups.
