Melissa came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the V.R. Eaton Eagles by a score of 3-1.

Duura Kpea paced Melissa's offense, picking up 15 kills. Kpea got some help from Presley Williford and her 35 assists. Kennedy Scott and Kassie Van Pottelsberghe kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Emma Worrel and Ariana Gomez certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Worrel had 19 digs and one assist, while Gomez had 20 assists and seven digs.

Melissa's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for V.R. Eaton, they moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Melissa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Frisco on the 29th. As for V.R. Eaton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Memorial on the 29th.
