Sunapee's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Newport Tigers. Sunapee haven't had any issues with Newport recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Sunapee's win bumped their record up to 5-3-2. As for Newport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
