Football Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palmyra-Eagle can now relate to. They were outmatched by the St. Joseph Lancers and fell 55-6. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.

Zach Rizzo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Joseph, throwing for 286 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also punching in two rushing scores. Rizzo has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Jack Schmitz was in the mix too, providing St. Joseph with two scores.

Palmyra-Eagle is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. As for St. Joseph, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Palmyra-Eagle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Joseph, they will take on Crivitz at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lancers 5.2, the Wolverines 11.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
