Basketball Recap: Percy Julian Phoenix vs. JAG Jaguars
The Percy Julian Phoenix pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to JAG 62-56. While losing is never fun, Percy Julian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Jaguars are ranked 21st).
JAG's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Friendly, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. JaMicah Adair was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Percy Julian's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for JAG, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4.
Percy Julian will take on the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Prattville has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. JAG does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
