Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Rebels vs. Anamosa Raiders

Northeast has gone 9-1 against Anamosa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rebels will head out to square off against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Northeast knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Anamosa likes a good challenge.

Northeast is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Tipton: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rebels blew the Tigers out of the water with an 80-24 final score. With the Rebels ahead 49-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Anamosa ended up a good deal behind West Branch on Saturday and lost 63-49. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northeast pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points over those games. As for Anamosa, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Northeast strolled past Anamosa when the teams last played back in February of 2025 by a score of 60-44. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
