Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Faith Christian Academy lost against Trinity Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Faith Christian Academy Conquerors had to suffer through a 63-14 loss at the hands of the Trinity Christian Tigers. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian Academy lost, don't look at Rebecca Rouse. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and five boards.

Trinity Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenna Overton, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 14 points and four steals. Those 14 points gave Overton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Burnham, who had ten points in addition to five assists and five steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Faith Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Trinity Christian, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian Academy will challenge Community Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity Christian, they will welcome Tournament Opponent on Friday.
