Baseball Recap: Seminole Takes a Loss

After flying high against Eufaula on Tuesday, Seminole came back down to earth. The Chieftains came up short against the Chandler Lions on Thursday, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftains of the 7-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Seminole saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ostin Bighead, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Seminole has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Chandler, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-11.

Coming up, Seminole will square off against Perkins-Tryon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chandler, they will take on Okmulgee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.18 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
