Football Recap: North Shelby Starts Season with Victory at Home

North Shelby gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 50-24 margin over the Bishop LeBlond Eagles. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 56-30 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bishop LeBlond still got an impressive performance from Cooper Tabor, who threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Shelby is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Sweet Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Raiders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Bishop LeBlond, they will head out to challenge Schuyler County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
