Baseball Recap: Tullahoma Makes It Five in a Row at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shelbyville Central, Tullahoma was happy to have turned things around on Sunday. They never let the Franklin County Rebels get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ben Quick looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Bratcher, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Andrew Fulmer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Tullahoma hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 12 consecutive contests.

Tullahoma's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season.

Tullahoma will have a chance to go back-to-back against Franklin County: the pair will be back at it again later today.
