Softball Recap: Western Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Western had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Park Vista Cobras get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won four matches in a row.

The result came thanks to Ali Solo's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Analie Diaz was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Western's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Park Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Coming up, Western will face off against West Broward at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests. Park Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
