Softball Recap: Shrine Catholic Takes a Loss

Shrine Catholic fell victim to Notre Dame Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Fighting Irish, falling 13-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Shrine Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kate Zboril, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Zboril is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Shrine Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Notre Dame Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Notre Dame Prep beat Shrine Catholic by a score of 13-7 later that day.
