Animo Watts scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Middle College Cougars, falling 27-17. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (13), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Animo Watts' defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Middle College, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
