Basketball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 88-71 fall against the Capital Golden Eagles.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Capital, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Spring Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bourgade Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spring Valley is facing Bourgade Catholic at the right time seeing as Bourgade Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Capital, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mountain View at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Capital knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Mountain View likes a good challenge.
