Providence Day has gone a perfect 10-0 against Charlotte Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Chargers will host the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Providence Day will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

While Providence Day's victory against Carmel Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. Given Providence Day's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while Carmel Christian are ranked 79th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Providence Day's one-goal win came courtesy of Grayson Dudley, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Christian came up short against Charlotte Country Day School on Tuesday, falling 6-2. The loss continues a trend for Charlotte Christian in their meetings with Charlotte Country Day School: they've now lost four in a row.

Providence Day pushed their record up to 14-0-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those nine contests. As for Charlotte Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Providence Day took their win against Charlotte Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1 score. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
