Mason Winters posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He is becoming a predictor of South Vermillion's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Winters and South Vermillion will square off against Cloverdale at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
