Volleyball Recap: Sheldon Takes a Loss

Sheldon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hume Hornets, falling 3-0. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Sheldon was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-15.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hume, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Hume will square off against Lakeland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sheldon will be paying especially close attention to the Hornets' matchup: after the Hornets face off against Rich Hill, they'll take on Sheldon again at 5:30 p.m. on October 9.
