Basketball Recap: Norco Comes Up Short

Norco lost against Santiago two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Norco Cougars took a blow against the Santiago Sharks, falling 64-33. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 639th, while the Sharks are ranked 153rd).

Norco's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ryan Ibbetson, who posted ten points, and Andrew Hopkins, who scored four points.

Norco has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Santiago, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Norco nor Santiago have any future games scheduled.
