Softball Recap: Nazarene Christian Academy Victorious

Nazarene Christian Academy was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals 3-1.

Gracyn Whitsell was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Savannah Spangler, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Nazarene Christian Academy now has a winning record of 3-2.

Nazarene Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 14-8 defeat against Temple Christian on the 28th. Fort Worth Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Midland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on March 21st.
