Basketball Recap: Christopher Park Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Wesleyan

After losing to Wesleyan the last time they met, Mount Paran Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mount Paran Christian Eagles walked away with a 66-59 victory over the Wesleyan Wolves on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Mount Paran Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christopher Park led the charge by going 9 for 14 en route to 24 points and four steals. That's the most points Park has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cameron Hewling, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Despite the loss, Wesleyan still got an impressive performance from Connor Morehouse, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Ralph Sanders was another key player, putting up nine points and five assists.

Mount Paran Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Wesleyan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-16.

Mount Paran Christian has already played their next game (against The Weber School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wesleyan is taking a road trip to challenge Paideia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Paideia's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups.
