Basketball Game Preview: Johnsonville Flashes vs. Carvers Bay Bears

Johnsonville is 1-9 against Carvers Bay since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Johnsonville Flashes will welcome the Carvers Bay Bears at 6:15 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Johnsonville came up short against Lake View and fell 32-21. The Flashes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Carvers Bay came tearing into Friday's match with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 55-14 win over the Tigers. With the Bears ahead 38-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Carvers Bay's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points over those games. As for Johnsonville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Johnsonville was dealt a bruising 59-10 defeat at the hands of Carvers Bay when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Johnsonville was down 48-6.
