Volleyball Recap: Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Gets the Win

After losing to Red Rock Central the last time they met, Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Coyotes walked away with a 3-1 win over the Falcons on Thursday.

Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-14, 25-15, 25-18.

When it comes to explaining why Red Rock Central lost, don't look at Amelia Ubl. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and five aces. With that strong performance, Ubl is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game. Kendra Schroeder also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The victory got Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda back to even at 6-6. As for Red Rock Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.
