The Badin Rams will square off against Mount Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Badin came out on top against Bishop Fenwick on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run first inning. The Rams were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Falcons. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lily Braun made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Kendall Ponatosaki was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Mattie Canupp, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Badin lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Fenwick didn't launched any.
Mount Notre Dame came out on top against Ursuline Academy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. Mount Notre Dame was the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Ursuline Academy.
Like Badin, Mount Notre Dame also got a great game from a two-way player: Madi Jackson. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Jackson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Savanna Gault, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Olivia Strunk was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Badin's win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Mount Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
Badin might still be hurting after the 11-3 loss they got from Mount Notre Dame when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
