It was a proper cat-fight when Circleville faced off against Miami Trace on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Circleville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Miami Trace between 19 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21.

Drew Hoskins paced Circleville's offense, picking up eight kills. Hoskins got some help from Ally Thornsley and her 23 assists. Thornsley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Circleville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Miami Trace, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Circleville has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Bloom-Carroll on the 23rd. As for Miami Trace, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Jackson on the 23rd.
