The Halifax Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Halifax is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
Halifax came out on top against Newport on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Wildcats walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Buffaloes.

Halifax let Will Steinhauer and Cooper Custer run wild. Steinhauer went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double, while Custer went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those four hits gave Custer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryder Tobias, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Halifax kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Upper Dauphin Area came out on top against Greenwood on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 9-8. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Wildcats on their field since April 27, 2022.
Upper Dauphin Area also got a great performance from Conner Wenrich as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, Hunter Grassmyer was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Karson Engle also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Halifax's record now sits at 8-1. As for Upper Dauphin Area, their record is now 5-8.
Upper Dauphin Area's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Halifax has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Upper Dauphin Area, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Halifax's sizable advantage in that area, the Trojans will need to find a way to close that gap.
Halifax took their win against Upper Dauphin Area when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
