Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Admirals vs. Summit Spartans

For the second straight game, Franklin will face off against Summit. The Admirals will be playing at home against the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Franklin's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Summit. The game was the first time the Admirals have beaten the Spartans on their field since April 22, 2019.

Franklin got a great performance from Davis Williams as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. Williams also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Admirals are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-16 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Dixon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March.

Franklin's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16. As for Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
