Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Colten Jones stepped things up a notch to give Summers County the 'W'. Jones struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts.

Coming up, Jones and Summers County will square off against James Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats haven't beaten the Mavericks recently, having gone 0-10 since March of 2022.
