Volleyball Game Preview: Castle View Sabercats vs. ThunderRidge Grizzlies

The Castle View Sabercats will challenge the ThunderRidge Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Castle View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Arvada West, who was ranked eighth at the time (Castle View was ranked tenth). The Sabercats fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for ThunderRidge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Regis Jesuit with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

The victory didn't come easy: Regis Jesuit scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.

Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for ThunderRidge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Castle View was able to grind out a solid win over ThunderRidge when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Sabercats repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
